The Wild Rose

To give you an idea of how rarely my husband and I go out to the movies: We got a gift card for a local movie theater last Christmas, and it wasn't until tonight that we used it. (To be fair, we do go to the movies more than once a year, but not much more often than that.) We were really glad for this gift card, though, since there are a few movies that we'd wanted to see, most especially Minions. Before the movie, though, we had dinner at The Wild Rose. We'd been there before, shortly before we got married, but we're not sure we'd be back: While the food was good, the service was very slow, and we had to make multiple requests for beverage refills (and sugar for the iced tea).

We started with scallops.
I also had a Caesar salad, which felt a bit deconstructed.
Entree: the oven-roasted double cut pork chop, with a
roasted garlic BBQ demi-glace and  mashed potatoes
