I have a head cold. I hate head colds. I could have diphtheria, cholera, dysentery, and the plague, and muddle my way through things, but a head cold makes me whiny. It's especially annoying not to be able to smell or taste things - or swallow, for that matter.
I'm on the mend, but after a couple days of being able to taste anything, I asked my husband if we could go out for Thai food tonight, and being the agreeable sort of fellow he is, we headed back to the Thai Delight Cafe and Restaurant.
We'd forgotten that we had the Goong Gra-Bork (fried shrimp wrapped in wonton skins) last time. Well, it had sounded familiar and looked good, so we ordered it again.
We also tried the fried tofu, which was on the bland side, but to be fair, tofu is a bit bland anyway, and my taste buds were shot, so that might not be saying that much.
The big reason I'd wanted to come back was because last time we were there, my husband had ordered the panang curry, which was amazing, and because I knew from our last visit they'd make it pretty spicy. I wanted both something I could actually taste, something I'd knew I'd like, but alas, once again I ordered it too spicy. For goodness sake, order it mild, people. I have a higher tolerance for spice than most people I know, but this was spicy. I ordered it with beef.
