My husband was schedule to fly down to his company's headquarters tomorrow for a day-long business trip, but an early-morning meeting was added to the schedule; there wouldn't have been an early enough flight to get him there on time, so he caught a flight right after work and will be staying overnight - fortunately, just one night.
I could have easily cooked for myself, but on my way to class to teach my afternoon class, that there's a Greek takeout place across the street from campus finally got through my thick skull, so on my way home I stopped by for some takeout.
I ordered the classic gyro (left) and the pork souvlaki gyro, both of which were pretty tasty, although I'm realizing I'm not a huge fan of souvlaki; I've tried a couple different types now, and although I like the seasonings and flavor, I've consistently found the meat to be a bit too dried out for my taste, regardless of where I've had it.
