A Taste of Thai

I got some good news earlier this week, and to celebrate, my husband took me out to dinner. (He offered to take me on the night I'd gotten the good news, but quite frankly I was a bit too tired, so we went out tonight instead. Plus we wound up having a really long, 2 1/2-hour meeting with our financial planner, so cooking dinner when I got home would have been a bit much.) My husband asked where I'd wanted to go, and I decided I'd like to go to A Taste of Thai.

We started with the appetizer sampler, which came with spring rolls, dumplings, tofu, chicken satay, and wontons.

We also both ordered the Tom Kha Gai, a light coconut-based soup with lemongrass, lime leaves, lime, galanga, mushrooms, and onions topped with cilantro. I ordered mine with chicken, while my husband ordered his with shrimp.

I also ordered the panang curry with beef. Spicy!
