Earlier this year, my husband and I had gone to a wonderful Lebanese/Moroccan restaurant with my parents, who were visiting from out of town over the Easter holidays. My husband and I wanted to go see the Christmas lights that were on display in downtown Salt Lake City at
Temple Square, so decided to go back to
Cedars of Lebanon, since we'd enjoyed our dinner so much the last time we were there.
We started with the lahm ajeen
(open-faced flatbread topped with ground lamb & beef, pine nuts, onions, olive oil, & lemon juice):
We also ordered a starter of baba ghanouj, which came with warm pita:
We shared a lamb tagine and pastilla (lamn in curry and chicken in fillo):
And of course ordering baklava was necessary.
