Hong Kong Tea House

Today my husband and I celebrated our second wedding anniversary by going out to the Hong Kong Tea House.

(The traditional gifts for the second year of marriage is cotton; the modern gift is china. We went out for Chinese food. Get it?) :-)

I started with won ton soup.

We ordered two dim sum platters as appetizers. This was
the steamed dim sum platter, which included jumbo shrimp
dumplings, pork dumplings, scallop dumplings, and
crab meat dumplings.
The fried dim sum platter included fried shrimp balls,
pan fried pot stickers, egg rolls, and silver-wrapped
chicken.

I ordered a whole Peking duck, which came
on two plates. This plate was just the skin.
(It was also served with green onions.)

The rest of the duck was served on a second plate.
(It also came with hoisin sauce.)
I don't know what these are called, but the duck was served
with these; they were steamed, and one put the duck,
green onions, and hoisin sauce inside. Quite tasty!
